1. Forming an Innovation
School Buddhism was born at the end of 2002 as one of the five new school projects of the Ministry of Education (5 new school projects, including state-run schools, Buddhist schools, bilingual schools, and other schools). The school uses ICT for learning and a pilot project to recruit, develop and promote talents in various fields). Buddhist education has always been with Thai society. When initiating the Buddhist Way School Project, we studied the guidelines of 3 schools that have adopted Buddhism as the main way of education management, including: Thosi School Rungarun School Noo Noi Kindergarten (now renamed Siam Sam Tri School) and invited the personnel of the three schools to join the working group. Chaired by Phra Dhamma Pitak (P.O. Pyutto), the school has been called the Buddhist School "Buddhist Way School". This working group has held several consecutive meetings. To learn together and build an understanding of operations. Later, the first generation of Buddhist schools of the project was opened with the announcement of enrollment and 89 schools participated, of which the Buddhist Way School is
a school in the way of wisdom that develops in an integrated manner in the system of the Three Sikkha to become a Buddha, a person who accesses the Dharma, which makes them liberated, with a good life, prosperous, happy, genuine, and creative participation in society, able to lead the world in the right way.
The Buddhist Way School works under the advice of adult monks, such as Phra Brahma Kunaporn. Wat Yanawet Phra Phra Ph President of Maha Chulalongkorn University The Poet In addition, the Mahathera Association has passed Resolution No. 13/2004 Resolution No. 207 for the Bishop to support the operation of the Buddhist Way School.
The Evolution of Buddhist
Studies In the past, Thai people's learning was very close to Buddhism. Because they live in temples as a place to study, there are monks as teachers, or they learn according to various professional schools. Learning will focus on learning to be literate. It was evident in 1875 that King Rama V had monks teach Thai books in all
royal monasteries. Changes that should have contributed significantly to the study away from temples and monks. When schools were distributed throughout the kingdom and the teachers were changed to "teachers" in 1911, the learning conditions of Thai people, who had been far away from Buddhism until King Rama VII, had a royal decree that education should not be separated from temples. It is responsible for overseeing both education and religious management. I think the other 5% that is missing is probably the proportion of handicraft education, which reflects that our education management focuses more on academic content and allows morality, ethics or desirable attributes to be inserted and integrated into the study of academic content, which depends on the level of attention and focus of the school. It was formed as a Buddhist Way School Project at the end of 2002 and has been committed to continuing until now.
Concrete of Buddhist
Way School In the first phase, there were about 54 KPIs in the areas of physical education, teaching and learning, and basic behavior (lifestyle), later adjusted to 29 KPIs, which were used to consider the selection of leading Buddhist schools or the evaluation of government performance by the Ministry of Education. If you want to observe it in general. It can be seen that the school will have activities on the Father's Day (or the day set by the school each week), such as teachers wearing white shirts, having long prayer activities, eating vegetarian meals, making merit to give alms, listening to sermons, which are actions with an understanding of cause and effect, why they are done, and why, although these are seen as "rituals", they are considered necessary and helpful for those who cannot understand and achieve their goals immediately. To learn the essence of the Three Sikkha and to be hidden with profound values in every year.
